Last night I sat in the coffee shop in the basement of South Down,
and had a visit with a new friend ...
over the previous couple of days we'd shared meals at the table together
and had talked a bit ...
Last night we had a long chat and as it ended she shared with me
a quotation she had found earlier in the day. The quotation was:
To know means
to record in one's memory,
But to understand is
to make it part of one's self.
perhaps the memory of this time in the basement will become part of you.
