Life Lesson Learned ...

A native elder in the middle of a conversation about feeling oppressed and held down once told me: "a man can't ride your back unless you bend down and let him climb aboard first ... but once he's on it's hard to shake him off."

Still makes me say - "Hmmmm ..."
