In the neighbourhood where I grew up the boys and the girls played together, and never really worried about gender differences ... the boys brought out Gi-Joes and Big Jims and played along side the girls' Barbies ... and the girls were out playing street hockey, pick up baseball and roaming the fields and forests around building forts and hide-aways with us boys ... we ALL did things together and did't worry about being boys or girls ...Why is this idea so hard for the Olympics???
I say - include Womens' Ski Jumping !!!!
Including Womens' Hockey only gave some of us something to watch after the pros took over the mens' game ... The spirit of the Olympics and Ski Jumping is best embodied by Eddie the Eagle Edwards (remember him??) who reminded the world that it is about the COMPETITION, not the placing nor the profits ...
This should be a non-issue ... Let the women JUMP !!!! It only expands the sports' possible field of competitors by 100% and helps to include about 52% of the human family ...
