Today at lunch we stopped at a popular fast food outlet and ordered our meals ... Ms H ordered a chicken caesar salad, while Noahkila and I ordered various burgers, fries and beverages. During the meal, Ms H picked up the package of croutons that came with her salad and looked at the best before date on the back.
It read: "DEC2209"
Ms. H asked - "does DEC2209 mean December 22nd 2009? or December in the year 2209?"
Looking at Noahkila and back to her, I answered, "I honestly don't know, but given what we've heard about the food at McD's either one is a possibility ..."

This was strange. Unexpected and confusing.
The sun was shining; where you stood in its light, you could feel the
gentle heat. Otherwise, along the edges...

I wonder too, the shelf life of croutons and the shelf life of salads from fast food outlets too! I have had less than delicious experiences from McD's and Wendy's both... what did Ms. H think of her salad and where was it from?
It was a McD's caeser salad with a chunk of chicken on top and it was ACTUALLY quite good - the lettuce was fresh and crisp, and the chicken was warm and still moist ... all in all, not a bad choice for her !
Funny!
