It doesn't matter ...

In the last week I've read a dozen or more studies about
homelessness and the housing crisis we're facing Nationally.
Over and over the authors have mused on how such an
epidemic can exist in a time of unprecedented economic growth.
And over and over
they have insisted
(both the left and the right wing commentators)
that the time for studies and conversations is OVER.
NOW is the time for ACTION.
It doesn't matter why they are HOMELESS,
the very fact they ARE in our nation is appalling.
It's time ALL OF US DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Victoria BC has just launched a coalition to end homelessness in 10 years in the Capital City.

Due to the mild weather, there are at least 1500 homeless people on the streets there...

You could learn from them!

Victoria has borrowed thier plan from Portland Oregon who have had tremendous success in the FIRST year ... both are on my radar ... and I have documents about what they are doing on my desk ...

Thanks for the heads-up though. My plan is to beg, borrow and steal ideas wherever possible and practical ...
