Last night the coverage on CBC Radio lead to a whistful conversation about Canadian Politics between Noahkila and I ... we mused on the popularity of Obama, and the wish of Canadians to have a leader like him ...
Then we mused about the possibility of Canadian voters writing the words "Barack Obama" on the ballot in the next election ...
Imagine the Constitutional Crisis that could result if all 308 seats in the Canadian House of Commons went, by a write-in campaign, to Barack Obama ...
"Gee we didn't see that one coming ..." would be an understatement !!
The bottom line is that we need a Barack Obama on the Canadian political scene ... maybe a write-in campaign might be a good place to start ...

Hands off our OBAMA! He is all ours, all American with a great middle name. We've waited 8 long painful years for this day. Bush with his tail between his legs has returned to the state where I live. He continues to say, "When I look in the mirror I will not be ashamed."
All I have to say is, "You are shameful....we, former President Bush look in the mirror and we are ashamed. But hey, when we look in the mirror now...you are not there......Obama is!

Sorry Brother Blake ... I think the world is joining with our American cousins and claiming this articulate, bright and amazing man as "ours" collectively ... it's ALL about the HOPE!!
Oh ... and one thing to consider Blake ... had it NOT been for Dubya, we would have been denied the Obama experience !!
So as bad as he was, Bush is directly RESPONSIBLE for putting Barack Hussein Obama in the White House !!!!
