90 Years ...

It happened 90 years ago today,

on a distant battle field,

in a war that no one really remembers any more ...

Those who were there are no longer among us,

and we are in danger of forgetting ...

Today we are reminded of the importance

of remembering ...

remembering the battle,

remembering the fallen,

remembering the 11 000 who simply vanished,

remembering those who returned ...

They fought under the Maple Leaf,

and at Vimy they forged through

their blood, their sweat, and their dedication,

the Nation Canada, that we no proudly call home.

Today 90 years later - We Remember,

and we say a heart felt - Thank You.

90 years later,

we dare NOT forget.
