Another Letter falls ...

In an interview aired on CBC this past week, writer, journalist, social activist, mother, and grandmother, June Callwood said she didn't believe in heaven, that heaven was here on earth and it was our responsibility to make it happen ...

Today at the age of 82, while surrounded by the family she loved, June Callwood moved to a place where she will be able to find out whether she was wrong about the heaven thing ...

June was more than just a writer ...

She reminds us all that we CAN make a difference ...

June Callwood
1924-2007
Today Canada, and the world lost another Good One ... St June, Canada's Mother Theresa ... or just plain June ... whatever we chose to remember her as - she WILL be missed.

Thanks for this!
She did so much here in Toronto for poor and oppressed ones. I think that she adn God are laughing in heaven right now and God may just say "thank you dear one for you did amazing things for people few cared about."

Shawn

Thanks so much for including that information on your blog. She is one of my (super) heroes and I have always been in awe of her grace, integrity and determination in the causes she championed.

I have been on the road lately and so missed the news of her passing.
