A judge in the US has perhaps come up with a very frank and creative way to offer a profound message to a young woman who seeminly needs some help making better choices ... Lindsay Lohan, age 21, who has grabbed headlines lately for running amock of the law through drinking and driving has NOW been sentenced to work in a Morgue and in a Hospital Emergency Ward!!As I read the story today, I couldn't help but think - "what a cool response to the situation!"
It's a form of tough love akin to the "scared straight" phenomena that rolled through society a few years back - take young people and let them see where the path they are treading COULD lead if they don't make wiser choices ... I think the judge has the best interest of Ms. Lohan at heart in this - instead of letting her celebrity status and wealth coddle her, instead she will have
to confront a very brutal aspect of life and with help reflect on what she could do differently.
Perhaps this will help Ms. Lohan gain a different perspective on her life and help her get her drinking under control ... One can only hope ... I hope it works.
