A MUCH needed pick me up ...

Today I was flaked out on the couch after the kids

headed off to school ... I didn't have a whole lot of energy

to do very much, so I started channel surfing ...

Eventually I found a cable station airing "The Jeffersons"

followed by episodes of "Sanford and Son".

There is something about 70's sit-coms ...

maybe it is because the characters are familiar and comfortable,

maybe it is the combination of innocence and edge

that many of them embodied,

or maybe it was the talented folks who portrayed

characters like George Jefferson and Fred Sanford.

But whatever it was, today it was just the tonic I needed

to get back on a level footing ...

Laughter TRULY is the best medicine.
