My Theme Song for the Day ...

It has been a long couple of years ... I've had moments when it has hurt just draw the next breath ... I've been betrayed and hurt deeply by people I regarded as friends ... I've felt let down and abandoned ... I've hit the dirt more than I care to think about ... and I've been battered and bloodied (figuratively speaking) more than once ... but like the song below says - "I'm still standing."

I've been picked up innumerable times by friends who have dusted me off, helped me mend my wounds and sent me out the door with a hug to face another round ...

Along the way I've learned A LOT about myself ... I've grown ... I've matured ... I've shed weight, both physical and spiritual and I've come to realize that as bad as it gets - TOMORROW IS ONLY A FEW HOURS AWAY!!!

And tomorrow can be better than today if we dare to live, to breath and believe ...

So ... as I take this breath and BELIEVE that tomorrow WILL be better than today and my life will journey upwards, onwards and into the future ... I offer a song that has been rolling through me today for some reason ... Sir Elton is flamboyant, outrageous and one helluva entertainer ... I've loved this song since I first heard it years and years ago in High School ... it was a favourite for me when it popped up on Much Music ... it is STILL a fav ...

Turn up the volume and enjoy ... oh yeah ... by TUESDAY - ALL will be revealed about the bold new adventure I've embarked upon ...

For now - like the Man says - "I'm still standing, better than I EVER DID, looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid !!!!" - THAT'S ME!!!!

Amen !!!

Hey... it was really weird today, I had read this post in the morning.. And then this afternoon this guy comes into Chips to fix our juke box, and as he's playing it to sound check it, he plays this song... It is a great song, and I'm happy to say the jukebox is fixed and will be back in action this weekend (i think).
