A year ago today the world of Minnedosa United Church turned upside down ... we were scrambling to get our feet back under us, and to begin the process of continuing on as Church and as community ...
It's been a long and winding road. It's had many twists and turns. It has had more than its fair share of ups and downs. But looking back over the last year, all in all, it's been a pretty good journey.
Today we have a Building Committee who have plans and elevation drawings before them to consider. We have a FundRaising Committee who have begun undertaking some serious fund raising planning and requests. We have a strong leadership from the lay people who have taken on the work of CE, Worship and other aspects of Church Life. We continue to meet weekly in worship where our music leadership and choir remains exceptional.
Our office is run like a well oiled machine where laughter, fellowship and fun mingle with the important work that needs to be done day by day to keep things rolling.
Overall, things are pretty good ... In a years time hopefully we'll be looking back from within a new building on the now vacant site on Main St, and taking stock of the many amazing happenings that lay ahead for us in the next 12 months ... For today though, we look back and remember what we've lost, but more importantly, we look forward to what we will experience and gain in the future ... We are afterall, people of the resurrection, and today we continue the journey of Resurrection ...
