On tonight's menu ...

It started with the bones and carcass
of a chicken roasted and enjoyed
a couple of days ago.
With a chopped onion, diced veggies, left over gravy
and a crock pot of water,
it was left to cook all day with
the additions of lentils, more veggies, barley, noodles
and a healthy dash of seasonings ...
Then as the dinner hour drew closer
a batch of cheesy biscuits was whipped together
and popped into the oven.
A yummy supper was enjoyed by all.
