I would HIGHLY recommend:

Okay, Jimmy Carter IS a politician, and as such is suspect simply by virtue of his chosen career. But when you remember that he has won the Noble Peace Prize for his work through the Carter Institute, he is highly intelligent, and he spends his spare time doing silly things like actually helping in the construction of houses for Habitat for Humanity, you gotta cut him some slack ...

His penultimate latest book (pictured above) was one of my Christmas Break reading selections ... I simply loved it. It is Carter at his best. He offers his wisdom on all manner of issues facing us from Religious Fundamentalism and the dramatic political shift to the right, to economics and poverty.

Carter is clearly a man who knows, and doesn't hold back his punches. His words are worth listening to, and more importantly - acting upon.

If you haven't read it - look for it, buy, borrow or even simply peruse it at the local library - you won't be disappointed.

The only disappointment I HAVE is - Why won't people listen to Carter ??? The world could be a much better place if we did ...

Maybe that's a good place to start our New Years Resolutions ... Hmm, couldn't hurt ...
