Yesterday, Noahkila went fishing on the Lake with our neighbours ... he proudly came home with a Jack (Northern Pike) and a couple of pickerels.
Turns out he would have rather enjoyed catching them, and then letting them go - Way to Go BOY! He's a conservationist !!
But, our neighbour cleaned the fish and send Noahkila home with a ziploc bag of fish ...
SO, for breakfast today, we pan fried the pickerel.
It was yummy ... I had mine with some thick, dark, slices of toast made from a robust pumpernickel bread, thick slices of a ripe garden fresh tomatoes (from a neighbour's garden) with salt and pepper and a mug of a nice dark fair trade coffee ...
It was and is a good way to start of the Thanksgiving Weekend. It was a delicious and simple meal brought to the table by our boy and our neighbours. It was good.
