Words of Truth in Holy Week ...

They often say - "out of the mouths of babes" for those unexpected moments when a truth is stumbled upon, and in the midst of our laughter we hear words that cause us pause ...

"What is Easter all about?" asks the foolish minister.

"Chocolate, candy, coloured eggs and bunnies," offers an eager young person. Then after a pause he adds quickly and quietly, "Oh wait that's NOT the answer you want to hear. You want us to say Jesus right ??"

How do you reply to that?

At least that child knew that another answer existed! The ignorance of Jesus is horrendous.
That is all I can say...

Sallie: It's only horrendous if you believe that what's important and valuable to some people should be important and valuable to all people.

I know next to nothing about Jesus, but from what I do know, it seems I live more in accordance to his teachings than lots of people. I learned love, peace, compassion and tolerance, not from Jesus or from a church, but from my folks--two Atheists, and two of the finest people I've ever known.

In my opinion, as long as we get the message, it doesn't really matter who delivers it.

You are not alone on that Katie.
