The Body Shop (even after its sale to a multi-national) remains one of my favourite stores when I get to a mall that has one ...

The Men's Shaving Products rank high on my shopping list ... the kids in our household LOVE the assortment of childrens' products ... and the Strawberry Bubble Bath is a longstanding and much lamented favourite in our house ...

And today comes the news that the woman who started it all has died at the age of 64 !!

Dame Anita Roddick the founder of The Body Shop and a formidible force in her own right died suddenly of a brain hemorraghe at her home in England earlier today ...
.
To say she went too soon and too suddenly is to merely understate the obvious ... I never met Ms. Roddick, but she is one of my favourite global citizens ... we need more like her!!
.
In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers for her family and for the movement she helped to found ... not too mention all the lives she touched and altered by living out her principles and values.

Rest in Peace Anita ... you went too soon ... but the world is a better place because of you and what you were about !!
