One of those who were wounded was a young man from Minnedosa who serves with the 2nd Battalion of the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry, based out of CFB Shilo ...
Over the last year I've offered a number of posts about him and his journey back from that afternoon in Afghanistan ...
Scott's journey has been anything but easy ... The toll on him and his family has been enormous ... It is a journey that is ongoing ... It's a journey he has shown great courage with each and every step.
SO, today, even if we don't agree with the combat operations in Afghanistan (guess that's the new spin to avoid ugly words like WAR, or COMBAT), take a moment to pause and remember, not only the fallen who died in service to our Country, but the men and women like Scott who have come home wounded in body, mind and spirit, and who continue to show great courage in their struggle and their journey.
To read about that day and Scott's journey back, click here to find the Globe and Mail Article published in April, that chronicles some of what he's gone through ...
For now, thoughts and prayers for Scott and his comrades as they continue their recovery, and prayers for the families of the fallen ...
Lest We Forget !!
